This refugee camp located at the foot of high cliffs is one of the three major ones in Thailand. This area under military surveillance is so wide that it has been divided into villages. Population there is estimated between 30 000 and 50 000 persons living in rather good conditions although accomodation and infrastructures are rudimentary. This impressive row of houses made of leaves and bamboos covers a succession of remote hills, well apart and under close surveillance so as to avoid any massive escape. You can help the chidren of this camp whit the Htee Moo Draw Childcare Foundation. Here is an inside view of their daily life. |
